 Set designer Mary Kate Golding found dead in Queens home as police investigate possible murder-suicide Police are investigating the deaths of television set designer Mary Kate Golding and her husband after the 34-year-old was found fatally stabbed inside her Queens home. According to the New York Police Department, officers responded shortly after midnight on Tuesday, July 21, to a residence in Astoria, where they found Golding with a fatal stab wound to her back. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Several hours later, at about 6:39 a.m., officers responded to a separate 911 call reporting an unconscious person near Astoria Park South and Shore Boulevard. Police found an unresponsive man in the park, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. An NYPD source identified the man as Joseph Azzaretto, Golding's husband. Tinubu Appoints Jami’u Abiola As SSA On Linguistics & Foreign Matters


President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR,  has approved the appointment of Jami’u Abiola as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Linguistics and Foreign Matters.


The appointment takes effect from 14th November, 2024.


A statement by Director, Information & Public Relations,  Segun Imohiosen on behalf of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, said the appointment is in line with the provisions of the Certain Political and Judicial Office Holders (Salaries and Allowances, etc) Act 2008, as amended.


Until his appointment, Jami’u served as the Special Assistant to the President on Special Duties in the Office of the Vice President.


President Tinubu tasks the appointee to work closely with the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs and bring his wealth of experience to bear in his new assignment.
