 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable.  Vinícius Júnior to Miss Liverpool Clash Due to Hamstring Injury


Real Madrid forward Vinícius Júnior has been ruled out of the upcoming Champions League match against Liverpool due to a hamstring injury, the club confirmed on Monday.


“After undergoing tests today, Vinícius Júnior has been diagnosed with a hamstring injury in his left leg by Real Madrid’s medical team,” the club stated.


Spanish reports suggest that the Brazilian winger is expected to be sidelined for around a month, meaning he will also miss the Champions League match against Atalanta on December 10, in addition to Wednesday's clash at Anfield.


Vinícius played the full 90 minutes in Real Madrid's 3-0 La Liga win over Leganés on Sunday, providing the assist for Kylian Mbappé’s opening goal.


The 24-year-old has been in exceptional form this season, outshining summer signing Mbappé. He scored four goals in as many Champions League appearances and has netted eight times in 13 La Liga matches. He also finished second in the 2024 Ballon d'Or voting.


Real Madrid, the defending champions, have had a challenging start to their European campaign, suffering two losses in their first four group-stage matches, leaving them 18th in the standings.


Meanwhile, Liverpool, under new manager Arne Slot, are leading both the Premier League and the Champions League.
