 Four people have died after a car was swept away at an overflowing bridge in the Makotopong River near Sebayeng. Police recovered the bodies after a blue Renault Kwid carrying five occupants was pulled into the river during heavy water flow on Sunday morning, 8 March 2026. One passenger escaped from the vehicle and alerted police and emergency services. Police say the car was travelling along the Madiga–Makotopong gravel road when it overturned at the flooded bridge and was dragged into the river. The Provincial Search and Rescue team recovered the first body on Sunday. The victim was identified as Lebapa Petrus Mochitele, 27, from Madiga Village. EMS personnel declared him dead at the scene. Search operations resumed on Monday with the SAPS Water Wing Unit, EMS Search and Rescue, the Fire and Rescue Department, and an EMS helicopter. Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola has clapped back at a fan who berated her for mourning the late actor Charles Olumo, better known as Baba Agbako


We reported on Thursday that Nollywood had announced the demise of the veteran actor. The Theatre Arts And Motion Pictures Association of Nigeria, TAMPAN announced his demise through the page of its president, Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr Latin. Mr Latin, on behalf of the group, said the veteran died on Thursday and was aged 101.


Foluke, via her Instagram page, had shared a video of her visiting the late actor’s house. In the video, the movie star was captured shedding tears as she mingled with his family. Sharing the video, Foluke described Agbako as a rare gem as she revealed that she would surely miss him.


Taking to her comment section, the fan questioned when last she posed or visited him


“When last did you post or visit him, dey play”.


Replying to him, Foluke called him insàne for such a question as she made him know that she would be blocking him because she didn’t need bitter hearts on her page.
