 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola has clapped back at a fan who berated her for mourning the late actor Charles Olumo, better known as Baba Agbako


We reported on Thursday that Nollywood had announced the demise of the veteran actor. The Theatre Arts And Motion Pictures Association of Nigeria, TAMPAN announced his demise through the page of its president, Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr Latin. Mr Latin, on behalf of the group, said the veteran died on Thursday and was aged 101.


Foluke, via her Instagram page, had shared a video of her visiting the late actor’s house. In the video, the movie star was captured shedding tears as she mingled with his family. Sharing the video, Foluke described Agbako as a rare gem as she revealed that she would surely miss him.


Taking to her comment section, the fan questioned when last she posed or visited him


“When last did you post or visit him, dey play”.


Replying to him, Foluke called him insàne for such a question as she made him know that she would be blocking him because she didn’t need bitter hearts on her page.
