 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment. 12 BENIN REPUBLIC DELEGATION PAID INEC A VISIT TO STUDY THE NIGERIAN ELECTORAL PROCESSES. (PHOTOS).

President of the Autonomous National Electoral Commission of Benin(CENA)of the Republic Benin Republic Dr Sacca Lafia Led a 12-member delegation, comprising National Commissioners, Directors and critical staff  on a study visit to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)

The delegation was warmly received by the Chairman of INEC, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, and other Commission members at INEC Headquarters in Abuja. The primary aim of the visit was for CENA to learn from Nigeria’s electoral processes, procedures, and best practices as they prepare for their upcoming 2026 elections.
