 Anambra LG Commissioner Warns Against Politicising Town Union Offices, Urges Focus on Development ‎By Chisom Okpala ‎ ‎The Anambra State Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs, Barr. Vin Ezeaka, has cautioned individuals who perceive the positions of President-General and Town Union Executive as political offices to desist from such notions. He advised that these institutions should remain dedicated to community development and the collective interests of the people. ‎ ‎Barr. Ezeaka made this admonition on Friday, June 5, while receiving the Ugbenu Town Union Executive in his office at the Old Government House, Awka. 21-YEAR-OLD MAN WAS BEATEN TO DEATH AFTER BEING CAUGHT WITH ANOTHER MAN'S WIFE AT A HOUSE IN DELHI. (PHOTO).

 A 21-year-old man, identified as Ritik Verma, was beaten to death after being caught with another man’s wife at a house in Delhi’s Shastri Park area on Monday. The incident occurred around 11 am when the woman’s husband discovered Ritik and his wife in a compromising situation, police said.


According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northeast) Rakesh Paweriya, the enraged husband brutally assaulted both Ritik and his wife. Witnesses and family members claim the violence was severe. Bunty, Ritik’s uncle, alleged that the attackers tortured Ritik, tore his nails, and inflicted injuries all over his body. A neighbour confirmed that more than one person was involved in the assault.


Ritik, who drove a tempo and was the only son of his parents, was taken to a hospital by his relatives. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment at around 9 pm. The woman involved was also assaulted during the incident, the neighbour added.


The police are investigating the case further to determine the exact sequence of events and identify everyone involved in the attack. The incident has shocked the local community, raising concerns about rising violence in personal disputes.
