 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school. 21-YEAR-OLD MAN WAS BEATEN TO DEATH AFTER BEING CAUGHT WITH ANOTHER MAN'S WIFE AT A HOUSE IN DELHI. (PHOTO).

 A 21-year-old man, identified as Ritik Verma, was beaten to death after being caught with another man’s wife at a house in Delhi’s Shastri Park area on Monday. The incident occurred around 11 am when the woman’s husband discovered Ritik and his wife in a compromising situation, police said.


According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northeast) Rakesh Paweriya, the enraged husband brutally assaulted both Ritik and his wife. Witnesses and family members claim the violence was severe. Bunty, Ritik’s uncle, alleged that the attackers tortured Ritik, tore his nails, and inflicted injuries all over his body. A neighbour confirmed that more than one person was involved in the assault.


Ritik, who drove a tempo and was the only son of his parents, was taken to a hospital by his relatives. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment at around 9 pm. The woman involved was also assaulted during the incident, the neighbour added.


The police are investigating the case further to determine the exact sequence of events and identify everyone involved in the attack. The incident has shocked the local community, raising concerns about rising violence in personal disputes.
