 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  22-Year-Old Blessing Amali Emerges New Miss Nasarawa

A 22-year-old contestant representing Toto Local Government Area, Miss Blessing Amali has won the 2024 Miss Nasarawa Beauty Pageant. 


She defeated eight other Contestants to emerge as the new Miss Nasarawa on Monday night in Lafia. 


The grand finale of the pageant held at the popular TAAL Conference Hotel, Lafia had in attendance dignitaries and entertainment personalities from across the State and beyond. 


Other guests include Barrister Andrew Yakubu, Comrade Alfred Jonathan, Comrade Samuel Alkali, Miss Happiness Solomon, Comrade Queen Maidoki, Miss Vivian Agwale, MC Steve, DJ Loms, Miss Asheazi Ablaku and Miss Blessing Bako. 


Mr. Reuben Danjuma Auta and Mr. Ezekiel Promise anchored the event as masters of ceremony. 


Major highlight of the event was the decoration of the new Miss Nasarawa who succeeded Queen Faith Nelly Abimiku from Obi.
