 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event.  22-Year-Old Blessing Amali Emerges New Miss Nasarawa

A 22-year-old contestant representing Toto Local Government Area, Miss Blessing Amali has won the 2024 Miss Nasarawa Beauty Pageant. 


She defeated eight other Contestants to emerge as the new Miss Nasarawa on Monday night in Lafia. 


The grand finale of the pageant held at the popular TAAL Conference Hotel, Lafia had in attendance dignitaries and entertainment personalities from across the State and beyond. 


Other guests include Barrister Andrew Yakubu, Comrade Alfred Jonathan, Comrade Samuel Alkali, Miss Happiness Solomon, Comrade Queen Maidoki, Miss Vivian Agwale, MC Steve, DJ Loms, Miss Asheazi Ablaku and Miss Blessing Bako. 


Mr. Reuben Danjuma Auta and Mr. Ezekiel Promise anchored the event as masters of ceremony. 


Major highlight of the event was the decoration of the new Miss Nasarawa who succeeded Queen Faith Nelly Abimiku from Obi.
