 Africa and Russia are natural allies - Putin Russian President Vladimir Putin courted dozens of African leaders at a Russia-Africa summit that wraps up Thursday as he seeks to bolster Moscow’s clout across the continent. Speaking during a meeting in the Kremlin on the second day of the summit, Putin said that “Russia and Africa are united by truly strong bonds of friendship and close partnership.” “We are natural allies in building a multipolar, genuinely democratic world order, free from diktat and double standards and based on respect for the norms of international law and the fundamental principles of the United Nations Charter,” Putin said, AP reported. The Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Idris Aregbe, in a statement issued on Sunday, said the festival will offer an unmatched shopping experience for both local residents and tourists.


 


He said the three days festival would be filled with incredible deals, exclusive discounts and a world-class shopping experience. 


 


Aregbe urged both local and international shoppers to indulge in an unparalleled retail experience that showcases the rich culture and diverse offerings of Nigeria.


 


He said: "The Lagos Shopping Festival will feature over 500 vendors, representing a vibrant mix of local artisans and internationally-renowned brands.
