 The credibility of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) voters’ register has come under intense scrutiny ahead of the 2027 general elections, following revelations by INEC Chairman Professor Joash Amupitan that names of deceased persons remain on the register. Amupitan disclosed that names of voters who died as far back as 15 years ago are still listed, a situation critics say could undermine the integrity of the 2027 polls and lead to significant financial waste through the printing of excess ballot papers and other election logistics. The INEC chairman made the revelation while receiving the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Abisoye Coker-Odusote, and her management team during a courtesy visit in Abuja on Wednesday. Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola is singing the praises of her senior colleague Funke Akindele


Taking to her Instagram page to celebrate the filmmaker for hitting over a billion Naira in her cinema movie, Wumi called her a Woman King. She stated that she is celebrating the hard work, consistency, grace, and resilience in Funke.

Her post is coming less than a week after her ex-friends, Toyin Abraham, and Seyi Edun, reconciled. 


We reported that Seyi had extended an olive branch to her Toyin by promoting her new movie, Bhad and Boujee. The mother of twins had shown support for the mother of one at the Cinema, where she urged her fans to come watch the movie with her.


Surprisingly, Toyin expressed gratitude to her for the support as she commented on her post with, “Thanks love.”
