 Family seeks help as kidnapper abducts five-year-old daughter in Lagos The family of Memunah Abdulrahman is appealing to the public for assistance after their five-year-old daughter was abducted by a suspected kidnapper in the Ejigbo area of the state. PUNCH Metro learnt on Tuesday that the missing girl was abducted on March 9, 2025, while she and her sister were returning from an Islamic school. According to sources, upon reaching a popular supermarket in the community, the suspect approached Abdulrahman and her sister and led them inside the store. While pretending to buy them some items at the supermarket, PUNCH Metro gathered that the suspect disappeared with Memunah, leaving her sister behind. After the incident was reported at the Ejigbo Divisional Police Headquarters, the police reviewed the CCTV footage, which revealed the suspect abducting the child and escaping in a tricycle.  Anambra Speaker Hails Governor Soludo, Wife On 32nd Marriage Anniversary

The Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, has described Gov. Chukwuma Soludo and his wife, Nonye, as a perfect match in terms of family life, training, and public service.


Felicitating the Anambra State number one family as they marked their 32nd marriage anniversary, Rt. Hon. Udeze noted that Gov. Soludo and his wife have given governance in the state a human face, as evidenced by the numerous developmental achievements they have recorded.


The Speaker encouraged Ndi Anambra, especially politicians, to intensify support for Gov. Soludo's administration in order to move the state to enviable heights.


He emphasized that the 32 years of marriage between Gov. Soludo and his wife, have been fruitful in all ramifications, with their marriage continuing to grow in love, peace, and unity, blessed with wonderful children from God.


Rt. Hon. Udeze prayed that God strengthens Gov. Soludo and his wife, as well as their marriage, and bless them with good health and longevity.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
