The Edo State House of Assembly has removed Hon. Natasha Osawaru Irobosa of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from her position as Minority Leader, marking a significant shift in the chamber’s leadership structure. The announcement, made on Monday, is part of a broader restructuring triggered by recent political defections. Hon. Charity Aiguobarueghian, also of the PDP, was similarly stripped of her role as Majority Leader. Meanwhile, Hon. Yekini Idaiye, another PDP lawmaker, lost his position as Chief Whip. Despite the shake-up, PDP lawmakers Hon. Blessing Agbebaku and Hon. Maria Edeko have held onto their roles as Speaker and Deputy Speaker, respectively—for now.  Bollywood actor Vikrant Massey, known for his stellar performances in films like 12th Fail and The Sabarmati Report, has announced his retirement from acting, leaving fans shocked. The actor shared the unexpected news on Instagram on Sunday, revealing that his upcoming film Zero Se Restart, slated for release in 2025, will be his last.


In his heartfelt post, Massey expressed gratitude for the support he received throughout his career and shared his desire to focus on his personal life. “It’s time to recalibrate and go back home as a husband, father, and son,” he wrote, adding that he also needs to reflect on his journey as an actor.


The announcement sparked an outpouring of reactions from fans and followers on social media.  Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
