CDS INSISTS MILITARY AVOIDED MISTAKES AND PROMISES PROBE AMID SOKOTO AIRSTRIKES. (PHOTO).

CDS insists military avoided mistakes and promises probe amid Sokoto airstrikes:

The Chief of Defense Staff, General Christopher Musa, has insisted that there was no mistake in the military airstrikes targeted at the members of the Lakurawa terrorist group in Sokoto on Wednesday

A fighter jet bombed two communities in the Silame Local Government Area of the state, killing at least 10 innocent villagers and injuring several others.

The Sokoto State Government claimed that 10 people who lost their lives in the strikes were “innocent villagers.”

However, visiting the North-Western State a day after the incident, the CDS while addressing journalists at the Giginya Cantonment Sokoto, maintains that those killed were criminals.
