"Luigi Mangione and the Murder of CEO Brian Thompson"

Luigi Mangione, 26, has pleaded not guilty to charges of murder and terrorism in the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. He faces 11 state counts, including first-degree murder, and federal charges that could lead to the death penalty. Mangione, arrested in Pennsylvania, allegedly targeted Thompson due to anger at the healthcare industry. His lawyer has raised concerns about the overlap of state and federal charges and the high-profile nature of the case.

The case has sparked public attention, with supporters attending court, and online rhetoric has fueled concerns about rising domestic extremism.
