 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event.  Colorado Springs Mayor Yemi Mobolade Under Investigation for Alleged Role in Staged Racist Attack to Win Election


Colorado Springs Mayor Yemi Mobolade is under investigation following allegations that he was involved in a staged hate crime during his mayoral campaign. Derrick Bernard, who orchestrated the hoax, allegedly communicated with Mobolade about the attack, which included vandalizing a campaign sign and setting a cross on fire. 


While Mobolade initially denied contact with Bernard, he later stated he couldn’t recall the details. Despite the Department of Justice declining to prosecute, local officials and critics are calling for transparency, with growing concerns about Mobolade’s role and the DOJ’s handling of the case.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
