 ALGON Rejects Suspension of Edo Council Chairmen, Seeks Tinubu’s Intervention The Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) has strongly condemned the Edo State House of Assembly’s recent suspension of 18 local government chairmen across the state. In a statement released in Taraba State on Thursday, ALGON’s National Executive Council (NEC) and Board of Trustees (BOT) criticized the suspension, calling it a serious violation of democracy and constitutional order. The suspensions came after Governor Monday Okpebholo accused the chairmen of failing to comply with his directives by not submitting financial records to the state government. The statement, signed by ALGON’s National Publicity Secretary, Hamisu M. Anani, expressed deep concern, describing the action as a "setback for democracy and an abuse of power." Denzel Washington's Daughter Katia Unveils Tall Blond Wife!!


Denzel Washington’s daughter Katia Washington stepped out last night with her wife, Colleen Wilson – and fans are shocked at the couple.

Katia is Denzel and Pauletta’s second child, and was born on Nov. 27, 1986, in L.A. 


Katia studied at Yale University, where she graduated in 2010. Though Katia keeps her personal life private, she has followed the career path of many other members of the Washington family and works behind the scenes as a producer for Bron Studios.

In her career, she has worked as a producer on Fences, Malcolm & Marie, Breaking and Sharp Stick.

Katia and her father have a very good relationship, and he recently attended Katia’s wedding, to model and former ballet dancer Colleen Wilson. Colleen is 6 foot 4 inches tall, and Katia is 5 foot 2. The couple have a more than one foot discrepancy in height.


They make a very odd looking couple. But hey … you never know who you fall in love with …

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
