 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service.  Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu Welcomes Over 3,000 Defectors to APC in Abia


Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Okezie Kalu, welcomed more than 3,000 new members from various political parties to the APC during an empowerment program in Akwete, Ndoki, Ukwa East Local Government Area of Abia State.  


Kalu highlighted the defection as a testament to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to Ndigbo, particularly through the establishment of the South East Development Commission (SEDC). Among the defectors was former Deputy Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Emeka Stanley.  


Kalu, recently honored with the chieftaincy title “Enyioha of Ukwa Kingdom,” urged continued support for Tinubu’s administration, promising more democratic dividends for Igbo communities.
