 Katsina woman rewarded with N500,000 for display of honesty A woman identified as Malama Amina Abdulkadir-Yanmaman has been rewarded with N500,000 and certificate of commendation for returning N748,320 wrongly credited to her account to the coffers of Katsina state government. Abdulkadir-Yanmaman was wrongly credited with N748,320 meant for the Federal Government’s Home Grown School feeding programme in the state, according to Executive Director, Katsina State Social Investment Programme Agency (KASIPA), Dr Mudassir Nasir. Donald Trump Campaign Advisor Alex Bruesewitz, 27, Collapses On Stage During Gala Speech


A Trump campaign advisor suffered a scary moment when he collapsed on stage while giving a speech at the New York Young Republicans Club Gala. Alex Bruesewitz, 27, took the stage and spoke for about three minutes before he began to slur his words and froze. Bruesewitz then began swaying before fainting. Political activist Jack Posobiec shared an update soon after the incident. “Just talked to @alexbruesewitz backstage He is getting checked out by medical after having a brief fainting spell onstage. All levels are normal,” Posobiec wrote on X, assuring his followers Bruesewitz would be “fine.”

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
