 Stolen Jewellery: Patience Jonathan's Ex-Aides Rot in Jail as Court Adjourns Case 40 Times Some former domestic workers of ex-First Lady Patience Jonathan have been imprisoned for over six years, with their trial repeatedly delayed due to adjournments. The 15 workers, accused of stealing jewelry and valuables worth N200 million, were arrested in 2019 and are being held at the Okaka Custodial Centre in Bayelsa State. The defendants were accused of stealing seven gold bangles and jewelry, five Samsung air conditioners, two sets of upholstery chairs, and six Samsung flat-screen televisions. They also face 18 counts of conspiracy to commit murder, armed robbery, burglary, and stealing. The workers claim they were unlawfully detained without evidence. "We have been in prison since 2019. DRUNKEN TOURISTS PUT IN CART AND WHEELED BACK TO THEIR HOSTEL BY THAI POLICEMAN. (PHOTOS).

  Drunken tourists put in cart and wheeled back to their hostel by Thai policeman


Tourists who passed out from binge drinking have been piled into wheelbarrows by police and taken back to their hostel in Thailand.

Two women wearing swimwear were photographed unconscious in trolleys being pushed by a policeman on party island Koh Phi Phi in Krabi, Thailand, on Nov 29.

The German and Australian women, aged 19 and 23, were said to have been found at a nearby bar before Sergeant Major Saneg Jualaong came to their aid with a pushcart.


The scenes come after warnings over drinks laced with methanol in neighbouring Laos, which left six foreign tourists dead last month.

Local authorities are still investigating the deaths of the six backpackers in Vang Vieng, including 28-year-old British lawyer Simone White, whose friend later urged travellers to “avoid all local spirits” after their group had drunk free shots at one of the bars.

After wheeling the two women in Thailand back to their hostel, Sergeant Major Jualaong said: “I know what it’s like to have a daughter and how much we worry about them.

“I thought about their parents back at home. They were both too drunk to speak and too drunk to stand up.

“In that condition, they could have an accident, such as falling into the sea or falling down steps.

“I made sure they returned safely to their beds.”

Police Colonel Surasak Jaidee, superintendent of Koh Phi Phi Police Station, added that a trolley had been used because all the routes were pedestrianised and a motorcycle was “unable to transport unconscious passengers”.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
