Known for his successful farming career, Ezeogo Nwankpu married 30 women, although some left due to childlessness. He currently lives with 17 wives and has fathered 108 children, including Governor Francis Nwifuru, who is from his fourth wife. Among his children, 21 are graduates, with many having been individually supported by their mothers for their education.

At the coronation, Governor Nwifuru presented his father with a certificate and staff of office, in accordance with Ebonyi State’s Local Government and Chieftaincy Law. The coronation ceremony was attended by prominent figures, including former governors of the state, senators, and other state officials, with Chief Godwin Ogbaga commending Nwankpu's contributions to the community and recognizing the role of his son, Governor Nwifuru, in facilitating the process.
