 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. EX-PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES 'JIMMY CARTER' PASSED AWAY AT THE AGE OF 100-YEARS.(PHOTO).#RIP

 Jimmy Carter, the 39th president of the United States of America, has passed away at the age of 100 years old. He celebrated his 100th birthday on October 1st of this year.


Former President Jimmy Carter was the first Commander in Chief to reach the age of 100, making him the oldest president in American history. Jimmy Carter was most known for his humanitarian efforts after his presidency. President Carter remained very active well into his 90s. He personally helped build houses for Habitat for Humanity. 


Jimmy Carter survived cancer, serious physical injuries after falls and even the loss of his wife Rosalynn, who he adored. The couple were married for 77 years at the time of her death.


Rest in peace, Jimmy Carter. Thank you for everything you did for the needy. Your good deeds were incredible and will be remembered for years to come.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
