McDonald’s launches World Cup meal and collectible cups ahead of 2026 FIFA tournament kickoff McDonald’s is launching limited-time World Cup meals and collectibles ahead of the FIFA tournament kickoff on June 11, as excitement builds for the expanded 48-team competition co-hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada. The fast-food chain, returning as an official tournament sponsor, will roll out its World Cup-themed menu nationwide starting June 4. Customers can choose between a Big Mac or a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets meal, both served with a special gold-packaged Big Mac Sauce. As part of the promotion, McDonald’s is also releasing collectible cups featuring nine global soccer stars and cultural icons. The lineup includes Christian Pulisic, David Beckham, Ronaldinho, Thierry Henry, Son Heung-Min, Lamine Yamal, Alphonso Davies, Santiago Gimenez, and the brand’s mascot Grimace.  Get Rid Of ‘Excess Baggage’ In Cabinet, Gov Mohammed Urges Tinubu


Bauchi State Governor and Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, Bala Mohammed, has urged President Bola Tinubu to remove what he described as “excess baggage” within his administration.


According to Governor Mohammed, while governors have confidence in the President’s leadership, the actions of certain cabinet members are undermining his efforts.


He said the President must “throw away the excess baggage,” emphasizing the need for decisive action.


Governor Mohammed remarked as the special guest during the commissioning of the 14.1km Umuakali-Eberi Road in Omuma Local Government Area of Rivers State.


He noted that the focus across various states should be on governance rather than politics.


He commended Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara for delivering good governance despite political challenges, expressing confidence in the Governor’s ability to lead effectively.


He said by what he has seen, he is no longer worried about Governor Fubara’s performance or the perception of the people about his administration.
