   ACCIDENT HITS ABENGA ON ALIADE-MAKURDI ROAD  10th January, 2026      A road accident has just occurred at Abenga community along the Aliade–Makurdi Road in Benue State. The incident, which happened moments ago, has drawn the attention of motorists and residents in the area.  Details of the cause and possible casualties are yet to be confirmed as of the time of filing this report. The development was reported by Benue Info-pedia’s Aliade correspondent, Mc Oliver “De Busy-brain.”  Authorities and emergency responders are expected to assess the situation. GUNMEN ABDUCT ASSOCIATION PRESIDENT IN BENUE

The President-General Kunav United Development Association (KUDA), the umbrella organisation of the Kunav people from Vandeikya Local Government Area (LGA) of Benue State, Deacon Tor Emmanuel Yaji has been reportedly abducted.


Our correspondent gathered that Deacon Yaji was kidnapped by unknown gunmen at his hometown, Tsar Mbaduku, Vandeikya LGA of the State


The incident, according to sources from the area, took place at about 9 to 10pm Monday, December 30, 2024.p


The Benue State Police Command has confirmed the incident.


The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) SP Catherine Anene, in a statement made available to newsmen in Makurdi on Tuesday, explained that “On 30/12/2024 at about 2030hrs, information was received at Vandeikya Police Division that Mr. Emmanuel Tor Yaji of Tsar Mbaduku was kidnaped at Tsar where he sat relaxing with his friends.


She said “Swiftly police detectives were deployed for his rescue and investigation is on going.”


Anene appealed to the general public to assist the command with every useful information that can lead to his rescue.


She pledged to communicate further information about the operation as the investigation progresses.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
