 GBAJABIAMILA CELEBRATES FIRST BABY OF 2025 AT RANDLE GENERAL HOSPITAL In a heartwarming tradition, the Chief of Staff to the President, Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila, was on Wednesday, January 1, at Surulere General Hospital and the Maternal and Child Centre (MCC), Gbaja, to celebrate the arrival of the First Baby of the Year 2025. The event marks another year of Hon. Gbajabiamila's dedication and commitment to matters affecting the two hospitals in the area of quality healthcare services to residents of Surulere and its community. The Chief of Staff, through his unending support, has, on a yearly basis, been visiting the hospitals to handle the First Baby of the Year event, bringing joy and happiness to the newborns and their families.  Have zero tolerance to acts of irresponsibility---Anambra Attorney General Urges Heads of Departments

The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Anambra State, Prof. Sylvia Ifemeje has urged the Heads of Departments in her ministry to have a zero tolerance to acts of irresponsibility.


She said this while addressing a management meeting held at the conference hall of the ministry.


While speaking, Prof. Ifemeje, enjoined them to work with conscience, discharging their duties with full commitment and fear of God at any of their duty areas.


The Attorney General emphasized on the application of disciplinary measures to check laxity and disobedience.


She appreciated these Heads of Departments in their efforts to build a formidable Justice ministry and prayed that they continue in that zeal in the coming year.

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
