 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event.  IBB Owes N152M, Tambuwal N18M for Abuja Plots – Wike’s Aide Reveals


Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has revealed that 9,532 individuals owe money for land allocated to them in Abuja. 


Among the defaulters, former Military Head of State Ibrahim Babangida (IBB) owes N152 million for a plot in Asokoro, former Benue Governor Samuel Ortom owes N950,000 for a plot in Bazango, and Senator Aminu Tambuwal owes N18 million for land in Carraway Dallas. Olayinka shared the details on his Facebook, urging the defaulters to pay their outstanding bills, as the FCTA has given them two weeks to settle. Under Wike’s leadership, the Federal Capital Development Agency (FCDA) has been carrying out demolitions and land revocations in the FCT.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
