 Anambra Government Reaffirms Mega City Drive, Demolishes Scores of Illegal Structures By Ruth Orji  The Anambra State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to the ongoing regeneration drive and restoration of sanity across the state through enforcement exercises and demolition of illegal structures statewide. The exercise was led by the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Barrister Chijioke Ojukwu, on July 8, in line with the Physical Planning Law of Anambra State. Stating that it is no longer business as usual, the commissioner urged residents to take every notice received from the ministry seriously and comply promptly with planning regulations henceforth. He, however, said several eviction notices had been served but were taken with a pinch of salt, adding that demolitions followed because structures defaced the environment or obstructed pedestrian walkways. INDIA FORMER PM DR. MANMOHAN SINGH PASSED AWAY TODAY AT THE AGE OF 92.(PHOTO).

Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh reportedly passed away on Thursday at the age of 92. The senior Congress leader was admitted to AIIMS Delhi in critical condition on Thursday evening after his health deteriorated.


Sources stated that Dr. Singh breathed his last at the hospital on Thursday evening. Congress leaders, including Priyanka Gandhi, were seen arriving at AIIMS Delhi earlier in the evening.


A post on X by Robert Vadra expressing condolences was later deleted. An official confirmation from the family or the hospital is still awaited.
