Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu, has stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is deliberately focusing on the development of the Southeast, especially Abia State.

Kalu shared this insight during the groundbreaking ceremony for the Abia airport in Nsulu, Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area of Abia State on Tuesday.

Expressing his gratitude to the President for approving the project, Kalu also highlighted the Southeast Development Commission (SEDC) as another significant initiative that reflects President Tinubu's commitment to the region.

He emphasized, ā€œI want to assure you that the President we have today is focused and intentional about the development of the Southeast. He is committed to the region. We thank Mr. President for prioritizing Abia State. When the letter arrived, I immediately contacted Hon. Ginger and asked him to take it directly to Governor Otti. We will continue to seek ways to advance Abia State’s development.ā€
