This year’s Carol, themed: "Unto Us A Child Is Born" from the Book of Isaiah, Chapter 9, Verse 6 celebrated the spirit of Christmas with heartfelt reflections, melodious hymns, and a call for unity.

Governor Sanwo-Olu delivered the 9th Reading, titled: "The Word Was Made Flesh", drawn from John 1:1-14, while his wife, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, took the 8th Reading from Ephesians 2:13-18, with the theme: "Christ Our Peace."

The various Bible Readings were complemented by several choral hymns and captivating song ministrations, fostering a deeply spiritual and reflective atmosphere.

Special ministrations by gospel artists Bukola Bekes and Bidemi Olaoba added a celebratory energy to the event with their uplifting renditions, inspiring the audience to join in joyful praises and dance.

The harmonious blend of worship, songs, and reflection underscored the essence of Christmas as a season of gratitude, love, and shared humanity.

The Lagos State Commissioner for Home Affairs, Hon. Olanrewaju Ibrahim Layode, emphasised the importance of using the festive season to reflect on shared values and humanity, describing the Carol as a time to foster unity, peace, and goodwill.

The Commissioner further stated that the annual Christmas Carol not only serves as a celebration of the birth of Christ but also as an avenue to promote togetherness among Lagosians.

Layode encouraged residents to embrace the teachings of Christ during the season by fostering love, tolerance, and compassion within their communities.
