 COURT RESTRAINS RESIDENT DOCTORS FROM EMBARKING ON STRIKE  The national industrial court Abuja division has restrained all members and agents of the national association of resident doctors from calling, directing, organizing, participating in, and embarking upon any form of industrial action.  Justice Emmanuel Danjuma Subilim gave the order in an interim injunction filed by the federal government through the office of the attorney general of the federation and minister of justice.  The court temporally barred members of the association from embarking on any form of strike, work stoppages, go-slows, picketing, or any other form of industrial protest or disruption. The association is equally restrained from taking steps preparatory to any form of industrial action from the 12th day of january, 2026.  LASG ANNOUNCES  COMMISSIONING OF FIVE ROADS NETWORK, BRIDGE PROJECTS 


The Lagos State Government has announced its readiness to formally commission the Babafemi Dada with Bridge, Yinka Folarin - Jamiu Lawal - Shalom Academy Road Network in Alimosho Local Government Area on Monday, 16th December 2024.    


The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso disclosed this while speaking to the press on Saturday at the Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos. 


His words, "It is important to mention that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu prioritised the completion of new and ongoing projects despite the global economic meltdown and spiralling inflation”.


He said the Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration has completed and has earmarked for commissioning 36 Roads, five Bridges and a pedestrian Bridge to Lagosians.


According to him, “The State government, as part of efforts to create sustainable communities, improve connectivity and provide effective by-pass to areas of traffic gridlocks, the Babajide Sanwo-Olu-led Administration has completed the Babafemi Dada With Bridge Projects, in Alimosho LGA, and the project will be commissioned by Mr. Governor on Monday".


Omotoso said Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat thought it through to provide not only a reinforced concrete bridge but also the approach roads connecting Igando and Ayobo communities. 


The Babafemi Dada with Bridge -Yinka Folarin-Jamiu Lawal-Shalom Academy Road Network in Alimosho Local Government Area is a 1.57Km long semi-rigid pavement road with a 250m Deck on Pile Bridge will provide a shorter route for motorists connecting LASU-IBA road (Idowu Egba bus stop) with Candos road (Academy bus stop) in Baruwa community.
