 Popular Awka MC And Comedian Aiza Nwosu Shot Dead Popular Awka-born master of ceremonies, comedian and griot, Aiza Nwosu, was reportedly shot dead today, Sunday, 30th August 2026, in Awka, Anambra State. Unconfirmed reports circulating online allege that his killing may be connected to a lingering land-related dispute. This remains unverified, however, and it is now left for the relevant security agencies to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death. The tragic news has shocked many, particularly within Awka and the entertainment community. It also raises renewed concerns about violent killings in Awka and the urgent need to address insecurity in the area. Aiza had been active in the entertainment industry for many years and was a friend and colleague to many. He was also known for mentoring younger entertainers and contributing to the growth of the local entertainment scene.  LASG DIVERTS TRAFFIC ON AKIN ADESOLA STREET IN VICTORIA ISLAND FOR BMW’s AUTOFEST


The Lagos State Government has announced a road closure on Akin Adesola’s Street, Victoria Island for the Bavarian Motor Works outdoor show (BMW’s AUTOFEST), scheduled to hold on Sunday, 15th December, 2024, between 12:00 noon and 7:00 pm.


Motorists are enjoined to use alternative routes as follows:


Motorists from Falomo inward Ahmadu Bello on Akin Adesola Street are urged to turn right into Adeola Odeku to link Eletu Ogabi Street to access Kasumu Ekemode Street to Bishop Oluwole Street to connect Akin Adesola Street and continue their journeys.


Motorists from Ahmadu Bello Way to Falomo Bridge via Akin Adesola Street are implored to turn right and connect Karimu Kotun Street to link Sanusi Fafunwa Street to access Akin Adesola for a desired destination.


Motorists from Adeola Odeku inward Falomo Bridge should connect Akin Olugbade U-Turn on a contraflow to link Akin Adesola Street to continue their journeys.


However, Motorists from Adeola Odeku inward Ahmadu Bello will have a through movement.


ADVISORY: Motorists are implored to be patient as the Traffic Management Personnel will be on the diversion corridors to ease movement.
