Joe Igbokwe, a prominent APC leader from Lagos, has argued that former President Muhammadu Buhari should not be deemed a failure.
He defended Buhari's leadership, contending that the former president created a pathway for Bola Ahmed Tinubu's presidency.
Igbokwe's remarks came in response to Babafemi Ojudu's criticisms of both Buhari and Tinubu's administrations, as well as Ojudu's claim that former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was the rightful choice for Nigeria but was overlooked.
Igbokwe, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), praised Buhari's legacy, claiming that his administration established a strong foundation for Tinubu to build upon.
He rejected the assertion that Buhari was a failure, urging Nigerians to recognize the former president's achievements and contributions.
He said, āLet nobody living or dead run away with the thinking that PMB is a failure. Perish the thought. āHe laid the solid foundation for PBAT to build on. We are seeing the footprints and the gains today.ā
