The Niger State government has postponed its ongoing tour of Zone B in honor of the late Chairman of Katcha Local Government Area, Danlami Abdullahi Saku, who tragically died in a car accident along Kwakuti on December 9, 2024.
State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Binta Mamman, announced that Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago decided to reschedule the tour to January 2025 as a mark of respect.
Mamman also shared that the Fidda’u prayer, led by the Director General of Religious Affairs, Dr. Umar Farooq Abdullahi, will be held on Friday after Jumaat prayers at the Minna Central mosque.
Governor Bago had previously toured local government areas in Zones A and C to inspect ongoing projects. He prayed for the late Chairman’s soul to find peace in Aljanna Firdausi and extended condolences to his family and the people of Katcha.
