 ‘Friend Of A Thief Is A Thief’, Defence Minister Warns Terrorist Sponsors The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (rtd), has cautioned Nigerians against aiding terrorists, insurgents, bandits, or other criminal elements, stressing that anyone who supports criminal activities will face the full weight of the law. General Musa made the warning on Saturday while speaking as the Special Guest of Honour at the Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day 2026 Golf Tournament held at the TYB Golf Resort and Country Club, Yar’Adua Barracks, Abuja.  Nigeria's First Female Navy Aircraft Pilot Makes History


Lieutenant Changfe Maigari has made history as the first female pilot in the Nigerian Navy, a milestone since the Navy's establishment in 1964. Maigari, from Langtang North in Plateau State, began her journey in 2016 when she graduated from the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) and was commissioned as a Sub Lieutenant. 


She served aboard the Nigerian Navy Ship Unity before earning her 'Pilot Wing' award in 2024 during the NN Ceremonial Sunset in Rivers. Reflecting on her achievement, Maigari shared how her military upbringing and perseverance led to this breakthrough, encouraging young girls to pursue military careers. She expressed gratitude for the support from her family, colleagues, and faith. The Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, commended Maigari for her achievement during the event, which also highlighted the Nigerian Navy's significant progress in addressing maritime crimes.
