 NEMA COORDINATES SAR OPS AT THE SCENE OF BUILDING COLLAPSE INVOLVING A THREE STOREY BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT GUDU AREA OF FCT At about 0945hrs on Saturday 16th May, 2026, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) was alerted of a building collapse at Gudu District of FCT.  Critical stakeholders including Federal Fire, FCT Fire, NSCDC, NPF, FRSC and Federal Capital Territory Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) were activated while a response team of NEMA from the Abuja Operations Office led by the Head of Operations Mr Zakari Abubakar  and operatives from AYA Emergency Response Bay (ERAB) were deployed to the scene for quick response and coordination.  A reinforcement team  from NEMA Headquarters led by the Director Search and Response (DSAR) Air Cdre Bature Usman was also on ground to provide necessary backup and supervision.  Nigeria's First Female Navy Aircraft Pilot Makes History


Lieutenant Changfe Maigari has made history as the first female pilot in the Nigerian Navy, a milestone since the Navy's establishment in 1964. Maigari, from Langtang North in Plateau State, began her journey in 2016 when she graduated from the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) and was commissioned as a Sub Lieutenant. 


She served aboard the Nigerian Navy Ship Unity before earning her 'Pilot Wing' award in 2024 during the NN Ceremonial Sunset in Rivers. Reflecting on her achievement, Maigari shared how her military upbringing and perseverance led to this breakthrough, encouraging young girls to pursue military careers. She expressed gratitude for the support from her family, colleagues, and faith. The Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, commended Maigari for her achievement during the event, which also highlighted the Nigerian Navy's significant progress in addressing maritime crimes.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
