 NAF INTENSIFIES AIRPOWER CAMPAIGN, STRENGTHENS AIR PRESENCE IN SOKOTO TO DENY TERRORISTS FREEDOM OF ACTION The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified its airpower campaign against terrorism, banditry, kidnapping and other criminal activities across the North-West, with a strengthened air presence in Sokoto State to support ongoing joint security operations. The initiative reflects the Service’s determination to sustain pressure on hostile elements, enhance aerial surveillance and maintain the capacity for rapid response to emerging threats, while providing effective air support to ground forces operating within the Joint Operations Area. The strengthened air presence is particularly significant in the fight against asymmetric threats, where terrorists and bandits exploit difficult terrain, mobility and concealment to evade ground forces.  NLC Akwa Ibom Calls Off Strike After Gov Eno Approves N80,000 New Wage Agreement


The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Akwa Ibom State has canceled its planned strike after Governor Umo Eno signed a new minimum wage agreement with organized labor, ahead of the set deadline.


NLC Akwa Ibom Chairman, Sunny James, made the announcement in Uyo on Wednesday, revealing that the state government has agreed to implement a new minimum wage of ₦80,000, effective from November 1, 2024. Additionally, the monthly pension for retirees has been increased by ₦32,000.


James stated, “Following the signing of the new Minimum Wage Agreement on December 3, 2024, between the Akwa Ibom government and organized labor, workers are informed that the new wage of ₦80,000 will be paid as directed by Governor Eno.”


He further clarified that since November 2024 salaries have already been paid, any outstanding arrears will be cleared by the end of February 2025, with December 2024 salaries reflecting the new wage. The agreement also ensures that retirees will benefit from the improved package, in line with a directive from the National Salaries, Income, and Wages Commission issued on September 27.


The NLC expressed appreciation for Governor Eno’s prompt response, adding that workers are committed to boosting productivity and service delivery in return. As a result, the indefinite strike initially scheduled for December 4, 2024, has been called off, and workers are instructed to resume work immediately.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
