 STATEHOUSE PRESS STATEMENT PRESIDENT TINUBU'S MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE TO CHIMAMANDA ADICHIE AND HER FAMILY   With a deep sense of grief, I condole with Ms Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, her husband, Dr Ivara Esege, and the entire family on the passing of their son, Nkanu Nnamdi.   As a parent myself who has suffered the loss of a loved one, no grief is as devastating as losing a child.   I empathise with the family at this difficult time, and I mourn this sad loss with them.   Ms Adichie is a literary icon who has brought joy and light to many homes globally, and I pray she and her family find strength in the Almighty in this trying hour.   My prayers are with the family.   Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Federal Republic of Nigeria January 8, 2026

NOLLYWOOD ACTRESS TOYOSI ADESANYA HAS SHARED DISTRESSING DETAILS ABIUT HER MARRIAGE AND A REPORTED ATTEMPT ON HER LIFE. (PHOTO).

 Nollywood actress Toyosi Adesanya has shared distressing details about her marriage and a reported attempt on her life.


In a heartfelt interview with her colleague Bimpe Akintunde on the YouTube show Iriri Mi, Toyosi discussed the difficulties she faced during her 15-year marriage and the lengths she went to in order to preserve it, despite her fame.


Toyosi explained that she moved from Lagos to Akure, believing this would help her balance her career and family life.


She even traveled abroad at her own expense to try to save her relationship when her husband moved away. However, she alleged that negative influences entered her marriage, contributing to its eventual collapse.


The most shocking part of her story was when Toyosi spoke about an alleged assassination attempt on her life. She claimed she was miraculously saved, but someone else lost their life in her stead.


Bimpe Akintunde, who visited Toyosi during her marriage, confirmed some of the challenges, recalling moments when she saw Toyosi fetching water, which contrasted sharply with her celebrity image.


Toyosi expressed her desire for marriage, stating, "I wish to be married. For someone like me, who has been in a marriage, people often ask how I manage my stardom. I moved from Lagos to Akure, a four-hour journey, but I was determined that my career would not suffer. I made many sacrifices for my marriage.


"I truly invested in my marriage. I was married for 15 years and put in a lot of effort."

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
