 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event.  OFFSHOOT WINS BEST SOUND AWARD AT BEST OF NOLLYWOOD AWARDS 2024


The critically acclaimed feature film "Offshoot" has taken home the prestigious Best Sound award at the 2024 Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards, held on November 24, 2024, in Ilorin, Kwara State.


This achievement marks a significant milestone for the film, which has been garnering attention and accolades from viewers and critics alike. The Best Sound award is a testament to the exceptional craftsmanship, dedication, hard work, and creativity of the team.


Offshoot tells the story of Modesire Mbakwe, the new Acting Head of Investigation at the NDA, who faces death threats from the cartel. Her determination strains her marriage with Dike, who must make a tough choice to protect their family. The film currently streaming on Prime Video has been praised for its thought-provoking storytelling, outstanding performances, and technical excellence. This award win further solidifies the film's position as a standout in the Nigerian film industry.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
