   Rivers State Police Arrest 'Veryblackman' Over Alleged Death Threats to Comedian DeeOne The Rivers State Police Command has arrested the controversial social media personality widely known as "Veryblackman" (also identified as Veryblackman of Port Harcourt or VeryDarkMan’s brother) following allegations that he threatened the life of Nigerian comedian and reality television star, DeeOne. The suspect was taken into custody on Saturday after he reportedly ignored prior invitations from law enforcement. Following his arrest in Rivers State, he was immediately transferred to Lagos on Sunday to face further questioning and investigation. The Origin of the Threat The feud between the two online figures reached a boiling point in June 2026, when Veryblackman allegedly threatened to kill DeeOne. The critically acclaimed feature film "Offshoot" has taken home the prestigious Best Sound award at the 2024 Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards, held on November 24, 2024, in Ilorin, Kwara State.


This achievement marks a significant milestone for the film, which has been garnering attention and accolades from viewers and critics alike. The Best Sound award is a testament to the exceptional craftsmanship, dedication, hard work, and creativity of the team.


Offshoot tells the story of Modesire Mbakwe, the new Acting Head of Investigation at the NDA, who faces death threats from the cartel. Her determination strains her marriage with Dike, who must make a tough choice to protect their family. The film currently streaming on Prime Video has been praised for its thought-provoking storytelling, outstanding performances, and technical excellence.
