 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail.  Onitsha North Mayor Appoints 11 New Aides

In a strategic move to enhance service delivery and drive development in Onitsha North Local Government Area, the Mayor Mr. Nweze Tony Nwora has announced the appointment of 11 new officials to key positions.


The appointments, which cut across various sectors, were aimed at strengthening the local government's capacity to deliver effective services to the people. Those appointed included; seasoned professionals and grassroots mobilisers, who are expected to bring their expertise and experience to bear in their respective roles.


The new appointees were;Akunne Oseloka Megafu as Special Adviser on Culture and Tourism, Anyaokei Chinedu Victor as Personal Assistant on Publicity, and Chukwuemeka Ifeoma as Personal Assistant on Women Mobilisation.


 Others were;  Mrs. Aniobodo Josephine, Mrs. Akubudo Vivian, Lady Nnabuife Nkiru, Amaka Chinedu, and Abadom Nwannonaku Uju, were appointed as Personal Assistants on Women Mobilisation. Additionally, Odi Ilukwe and Mr. Ibeakaeze Tochukwu will serve as Community Liaison Officers, while Nwanyikaibeya C. Obi was appointed as Coordinator of Native Markets.


Mayor Nwora charged the new appointees to work tirelessly to deliver on the administration's promise of improved service delivery and development. He expressed confidence that their combined expertise and experience would help drive growth and transformation in Onitsha North LGA.


On behalf of the appointees, Mr. Ibeakeze Tochukwu, thanked the Mayor for the opportunity and trust he gave to them , and promised that they will work diligently to help him achieve a great success in the area.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
