  Investigation Underway After Body Found in United Airlines Plane's Landing Gear Compartment A body was discovered in the landing gear compartment of a United Airlines Boeing 787-10 after Flight 202 landed in Maui on Christmas Eve. The deceased person's identity and how they accessed the compartment, which is only reachable from outside the plane, are still unknown. United Airlines is cooperating with law enforcement authorities, and Maui Police have launched an investigation. No additional details have been provided, and authorities are continuing their efforts to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

S. A: AN ALLEGED HUSBAND KILLER, TO SPEND HER FIRST CHRISTMAS BEHIND BARS. (PHOTO).

 Nkhensani Mahlaule, an alleged husband killer, to spend her first Christmas behind bars. 

Mathebula, who was also an educator, was found dead in a burned vehicle near Constantia Mphagani Bridge on 15 June 2024.

The police investigation revealed disturbing allegations linking Mahlaule to her husband’s death. Mahlaule and her alleged accomplices, who are her relatives, have been denied bail due to the severity of the crime and brutal circumstances.


The case has been postponed until today, with Mahlaule and her accomplices remaining in custody as investigations continue.

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
