 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. S. A. POLICE OFFICER CONDEMNED FOR ASSAULTING A MAN AT THEIR LOCAL POLICE STATION. (VIDEO/PHOTO).

 A police officer in Rustenburg, South Africa, has been condemned by the South African Police Service (SAPS) for allegedly assaulting a man at the local police station. The incident, which was captured on video, occurred after a disagreement at a barber shop. The officer, identified as Ofentse Raphuti, allegedly chased and assaulted the victim in the police station parking lot. On-duty officers intervened, and both the victim and the officer have filed assault charges against each other. The SAPS has denounced the officer's actions as "totally unacceptable" and is investigating the incident.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
