 LASG PRESENTS STAFF OF OFFICE TO NEW ONIȘẸ OF ISE KINGDOM The Lagos State Government has presented the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment to Prince Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, as His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, the Onise of Ise Kingdom in Lekki Local Government Area. The presentation was performed on Friday, August 21, 2026, by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, alongside the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, with the approval of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Executive Council, following the demise of the late Oba Ganiu Adebowale Adegbesan, Onise of Ise Kingdom.  Shettima Muhammad Takes Over as Nasarawa Police Commissioner  


Shettima Jauro Muhammad has assumed office as the 29th Commissioner of Police in Nasarawa State, succeeding AIG Shehu Umar Nadada, who was recently promoted to Assistant Inspector General of Police.  


Official Announcement  

The appointment was confirmed in a statement issued on Friday by the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel.  


Profile and Experience  

-  Background:

  CP Muhammad hails from Mubi North Local Government Area, Adamawa State, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physical and Health Education from the University of Maiduguri.  

-  Police Career:

  Joining the Nigeria Police Force in May 1992 as a Cadet ASP, Muhammad has served in numerous capacities, including:  

  - Acting Commissioner of Police in Nasarawa State.  

  - Deputy Commissioner of Police at the State CID in Lafia.  

  - Deputy Commissioner of Operations in Zone 8 Lokoja and Gombe State Command.  


Call for Public Support  

In his inaugural address, CP Muhammad urged Nasarawa residents to support the police by providing actionable intelligence to aid in crime prevention and resolution.  


The new commissioner brings extensive experience and leadership to his role, promising continued efforts to enhance security in the state.
