 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school.  UPDATE ON THE TRAGIC STAMPEDE IN OKIJA: CP ITAM VISITS THE VICTIMS IN THE HOSPITAL AND CONDOLES WITH THE FAMILIES AND FRIENDS OF THOSE WHO LOST THEIR LIVES.


The Commissioner of Police *CP Nnaghe Obono Itam* visited the hospital where the victims of the tragic stampede that occurred on 21/12/2024 in Okija, Ihiala local government area, are receiving treatment and regrettably Stated that twenty-two people lost their lives. The *CP* while commiserating with family and friends of the deceased, wishes the injured a quick recovery.


Meanwhile, the investigation into the unfortunate incident is still ongoing. 


The Police Command remains dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of Ndi Anambra on crime prevention, responding promptly and effectively to emergencies, Protecting vulnerable populations and Foster a sense of security and community.
