 New UK Prime Minister not the leader Britain needs — Kemi Badenoch UK Conservative Party leader, Kemi Badenoch, has congratulated Andy Burnham on becoming Britain’s new prime minister but said while he is “a nice man,” the country needs a leader capable of making difficult decisions rather than “a people pleaser.” In a statement released on Monday on X following Burnham’s assumption of office, Badenoch wished the new prime minister success but vowed to hold his government accountable as Leader of the Opposition. “Today, Britain has a new Prime Minister. I wish Andy Burnham every success. Because we need a Prime Minister and a Government focused on fixing the public’s priorities,” she said. Nollywood actress Bukunmi Oluwasina has penned a heartfelt note to her colleague, Mercy Aigbe


In a lengthy post on her Instagram page, Bukunmi described Mercy as a Phoenix rising from the ashes. 


She stated as Mercy’s movie Thin Line hits cinemas nationwide, she wants her to know how proud she is of the energy she puts into her work despite her recent challenges and the devastating loss.


 Bukunmi noted how she has shown incredible strength and resilience.


Bukunmi stated that her journey is a testament to the human spirit’s capacity to persevere, rise above adversity, and create something beautiful from the ashes. 


She added that her new movie isn’t just a movie but a reflection of her courage, passion, and unwavering dedication to her craft.


The mother of one reminded Mercy that she isn’t alone and is surrounded by people who love, support, and are inspired by her strength.
