Unconfirmed reports circulating online allege that his killing may be connected to a lingering land-related dispute. This remains unverified, however, and it is now left for the relevant security agencies to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death. The tragic news has shocked many, particularly within Awka and the entertainment community. It also raises renewed concerns about violent killings in Awka and the urgent need to address insecurity in the area. Nollywood actress Bukunmi Oluwasina has penned a heartfelt note to her colleague, Mercy Aigbe


In a lengthy post on her Instagram page, Bukunmi described Mercy as a Phoenix rising from the ashes. 


She stated as Mercy’s movie Thin Line hits cinemas nationwide, she wants her to know how proud she is of the energy she puts into her work despite her recent challenges and the devastating loss.


 Bukunmi noted how she has shown incredible strength and resilience.


Bukunmi stated that her journey is a testament to the human spirit’s capacity to persevere, rise above adversity, and create something beautiful from the ashes. 


She added that her new movie isn’t just a movie but a reflection of her courage, passion, and unwavering dedication to her craft.


The mother of one reminded Mercy that she isn’t alone and is surrounded by people who love, support, and are inspired by her strength.
