 STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE PRESIDENT TINUBU RECONSTITUTES NNPC LIMITED BOARD, APPOINTS NEW CHAIRMAN, GROUP CEO President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved a sweeping reconstitution of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited board, removing the chairman, Chief Pius Akinyelure and the group chief executive officer, Mallam Mele Kolo Kyari.   President Tinubu removed all other board members appointed with Akinyelure and Kyari in November 2023.   The new 11-man board has Engineer Bashir Bayo Ojulari as the Group CEO and Ahmadu Musa Kida as non-executive chairman.   Adedapo Segun, who replaced Umaru Isa Ajiya as the chief financial officer last November, has been appointed to the new board by President Tinubu.   Six board members, non-executive directors, represent the country's geopolitical zones. YULETIDE FESTIVITIES: IGP EXTENDS WARM FELICITATIONS, ASSURES SAFETY ACROSS COUNTRY


Reaffirms Comprehensive Safety Measures.


The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM., extends heartfelt greetings and warm wishes to all citizens celebrating this joyful time of the year on behalf of all officers of the Nigeria Police Force. In this delightful moment to come together with family and friends, to share in love, peace, and the spirit of giving, the NPF wishes everyone safe, joyous, and memorable festivities.


As we commemorate the festive season, it is also vital to prioritize the safety and well-being of all. Therefore, the Force once again reiterates its commitment to ensuring that our communities across the country remain safe as the festivities unfold.


To this effect, the Inspector-General of Police has ordered Police Operatives to remain on heightened alert during the holiday period. Comprehensive safety measures are being implemented, and patrols will be intensified in areas of festive events and gatherings.


The Nigeria Police Force urges citizens to remain vigilant and practice safety precautions. As we partake in the spirit of giving this Christmas, let us also embrace one another so as to key into the doctrines of the season.  Together, we can ensure that this festive season is not only cheerful but safe for all.
