 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  40 Professors Vie for UNN Vice-Chancellor Position


A total of 40 professors are in the race to become the next Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN).


Among the contenders are Professor Malachy Okwueze, a former Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the university and ex-Deputy Chief of Staff to a former Enugu State governor.


Other prominent candidates include current Deputy Vice-Chancellors of UNN, Professor Romanus Ezeokonkwo (a former Supervising Vice-Chancellor) and Professor Daniel Nwachukwu (Deputy Vice-Chancellor of UNN's Enugu Campus, UNEC).


Additionally, Prof. Paulinus Ugwuoke, Chairman of the Nsukka Professors Association; Prof. Jerry Ugwuanyi; and Prof. Obinna Onwujekwe are also in contention, among others.


A university insider revealed on Friday that the Governing Council has reduced the number of candidates to 26.


This follows the expiration of Professor Charles Igwe's tenure as Vice-Chancellor, with Professor Polycarp Chigbu currently serving in an acting capacity.
