 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. 66-YEAR-OLD GEORGIA MAN BEATEN WITH A SLEDGE HAMMER AFTER OPENING HIS DOOR TO A FAKE AMAZON DELIVERY. (PHOTOS).


 66-year-old Georgia man beaten with a sledge hammer after opening his door to a fake Amazon delivery. 

George Hardison was at his Savanah home on the morning of January 11th when he heard a knock on his door. He looked out to see what he thought was 2 Amazon employees and assumed he was receiving a package.

Once Hardison opened the door for the delivery, the 2 men forced their way into the home and began to violently attack the 66-year-old man. The assailants proceeded to beat Hardison with a sledge hammer for approximately 8 minutes while demanding money.

Security footage captured audio of the harrowing ordeal. In the footage, Hardison can be heard screaming for help throughout. 

 Eventually neighbors heard his cries and came running to help. Sadly, they arrived to late and discovered Hardison badly beaten. The theives had made off with a meagerly $80 from the injured elderly man.

George Hardison ultimately needed 14 staples in his head as a result of the attack. 

Amazon released a statement reminding the public that their drivers will never knock on your door or ask for a signature unless it has been prearranged with your full knowledge.
