 Obosi Councillor Donates Bus to Students, Leads Fight Against Cultism By Chiedu Uche Okoye  Hon. Obichukwu Anyafulu (Zik), Councillor for Obosi ward, has donated a bus to students, who attend schools located in Obosi.  The councillor made the disclosure in an interview with the journalist at his Obosi country home, on July 11. Hon. Anyafulu said that the humanitarian deed he performed for the students was borne out of his belief that education is the cornerstone of national development.  "Education is the bedrock of national development. And only educated people who possess knowledge and skills can drive our developmental initiatives. "Based on that, I don't want students in Obosi to stay at home on school days because their parents cannot give them transportation fares," he said.  He further clarified that the bus would serve the additional purpose of conveying people to churches on Sundays, stating that religion is a tool for moulding the personalities of you...

A PARENT CAUGHT ON VIDEO PUNCHING A PRINCIPAL AND KNOCKING HER FROM HER CHAIR, RESULTING IN A HOSPITAL VISIT. (PHOTO).

 An out of control parent caught on video punching a principal and knocking her from her chair, resulting in a hospital visit.


The shocking event occurred at the Iberville Elementary School in Plaquemine, Louisiana. In the now released video footage, you see the principal (seated in a chair), try to stop three children from walking onto the court while a game was being played.


This act enraged Alessia Parker who is then seen quickly approaching the principal before punching her in the face hard enough to send her sprawling to the ground. The video shows the principal stand back up and use a tissue to wipe blood from her face. She suffered a busted lip.


Fortunately, a Plaquemine police officer was in attendance and witnessed the entire episode. However Parker and another individual identified as Jemecia Godchaux were able to flee the scene before arrest. Jemecia's involvement included egging Parker on and engaging in abusive language to the principal and other parents in attendance. 


This resulted in not only Parker's eventual arrest but also the arrest of Godchaux.


Alessia Parker was arrested on charges of battery to a school teacher, resisting arrest and disturbing the peace. She is being held on $100,000  bond. 


Jemecia Godchaux was also arrested on unspecified felony charges in addition to a number of pending bench warrants.
