 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service. AFCON 2025 DRAW HAS BEEN CONFIRMED.(PHOTO).

The draw for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (21 December 2025-18 January 2026) has been confirmed.


The draw took place at the Mohammed V National Theatre in Rabat. 


The tournament will take place in six cities over four weeks, but there can only be one nation crowned the kings of Africa.


Here's a breakdown of the groups:


Group A: Morocco, Mali, Zambia, Comoros


Group B: Egypt, South Africa, Angola, Zimbabwe


Group C: Nigeria, Tunisia, Uganda, Tanzania


Group D: Senegal, DR Congo, Benin, Botswana


Group E: Algeria, Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea, Sudan


Group F: Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Gabon, Mozambique
