 Yobe State Governor Buni  Approves Implementation Of FGN/ASUU 2025  Agreement / Payment Of Arrears Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has approved the implementation of the 2025 Federal Government/Academic Staff Union of Universities (FGN/ASUU) Agreement, with payment of arrears for Consolidated Academic Tools Allowance (CATA), Professorial Allowance, and Earned Academic Allowance (EAA). A statement by the Director Press and  Media Affairs Mamma Mohammed says Gov. Buni's approval of payment for the allowances followed the report on review of welfare and remuneration of academic staff by the state Fact-Finding Committee which was earlier presented to the Acting Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Mohammed Goje. BORNO ATTACK: IGP ORDERS CLAMPDOWN ON ATTACKERS OF POLICE STATION, OFFICERS IN BORNO, COMMISERATES WITH FAMILIES OF DECEASED OFFICERS.


As IGP Orders Zonal AIG To Deploy Resources for Swift Action.


In a resolute response to the recent explosion attack at Nganzai Divisional Police Headquarters, Borno State, on 9th January, 2025, at about 12.10am, which led to the death of two police officers; Inspector Bartholomew Kalawa and Corporal Mustapha Huzaifat, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM., has condemned the attack and ordered an immediate and thorough clampdown on the perpetrators as no cop-killer will go unpunished.


The IGP expresses deep condolences to the families of the deceased officers, affirming that their sacrifice in the line of duty will not be forgotten, as their benefits and entitlements will be immediately paid to their families. 


The IGP has therefore directed the Zone 15 Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Kenechukwu Onwuemelie, fdc., to mobilize adequate resources and personnel, collaborate with other security agencies to ensure the perpetrators of this nefarious act are found and caused to face the full wrath of the law.


As investigations continue, the IGP reaffirms the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to holding accountable those who jeopardise and disrupt the security arrangement and safety in Nigeria.
