 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  Chelle delighted with Super Eagles coaching role


Newly appointed Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, says he is ”proud and honoured” to manage the team.


Chelle was unveiled at an elaborate ceremony at the media conference room of the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Monday.


The 47-year-old quit his role with Algerian club, MC Oran to accept the offer to manage the Super Eagles.


“I’m so proud and honoured to be the new Super Eagles head coach. Nigeria has a great history with quality players like Ikpeba, Amokachi, Amuneke, Yekini, Oliseh, Eguavoen, Finidi, West, Obi Mikel and Babangida,” Chelle said at his unveiling.


“I was a fan then and with this new generation too, Lookman, Osimhen and others.”


The former Lens defender also highlighted his footballing philosophy, saying, “I love scoring goals. My teams are never lacking in goals, and the Super Eagles will be no exception – we will score goals.”
