 A Mother's Day Nightmare in Princeton, Illinois. A 3-year-old boy was struck by gunfire as police burst into a barricaded room, ending a frightening hostage situation. Multiple agencies responded to the Hummingbird Mobile Home Park in Princeton, Illinois, on Sunday, May 10th at 2:42 a.m. The initial call went out as a domestic disturbance but officers discovered much worse.  42-year-old, Anthony Rodriguez, had barricaded himself in a room armed with a knife. Anthony had taken several people as hostages, including Aurora Almanza and her 3-year-old son.  Multiple agencies were on the scene, including the Bureau County Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police and  the Princeton Police Department.  Authorities attempted to negotiate but ultimately rushed the room when they heard screaming coming from inside.  Officials have reported that officers fired shots as they entered the room.  Chelle delighted with Super Eagles coaching role


Newly appointed Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, says he is ”proud and honoured” to manage the team.


Chelle was unveiled at an elaborate ceremony at the media conference room of the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Monday.


The 47-year-old quit his role with Algerian club, MC Oran to accept the offer to manage the Super Eagles.


“I’m so proud and honoured to be the new Super Eagles head coach. Nigeria has a great history with quality players like Ikpeba, Amokachi, Amuneke, Yekini, Oliseh, Eguavoen, Finidi, West, Obi Mikel and Babangida,” Chelle said at his unveiling.


“I was a fan then and with this new generation too, Lookman, Osimhen and others.”


The former Lens defender also highlighted his footballing philosophy, saying, “I love scoring goals. My teams are never lacking in goals, and the Super Eagles will be no exception – we will score goals.”
