 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service.   Federal High Court Sets Date for Speed Darlington’s N300 Million Suit


A Federal High Court in Abuja has scheduled January 13, 2025, to hear a N300 million fundamental rights enforcement lawsuit filed by detained singer Darlington Achakpo, popularly known as Speed Darlington.  


The artist filed the suit alleging a violation of his fundamental rights, seeking redress for what he claims to be unlawful detention. The legal battle has garnered public attention, with many fans eagerly awaiting the court’s decision.  


Details surrounding his detention and the grounds for his suit remain under review as the court prepares to deliberate on the matter.
