EBONYI GOVERNOR ORDERS ARREST OF 6 COMMISSIONERS OVER CONTRACT BREACH. (PHOTO).

Jacksonville Sheriff's office was called to the scene of an accident at 10:39 a.m. on Saturday, January 25th. Once on scene officials discovered an infant in the roadway. The infant was transported to a local hospital where they were pronounced deceased.
Witnesses recanted a chilling tale that eventually led to the arrest of 20-year-old Justin Golden. According to reports, Golden was driving in a vehicle with the child and a female passenger when the couple began arguing. The female passenger is believed to be the infant's mother.
As the vehicle stopped at the intersection of Lennox Avenue and McDuff Avenue, eyewitnesses say Golden "opened his car door and placed the baby in the roadway". Golden then left the scene, striking the child with the car as he drove away.
There is no official report yet on the relationship between Golden, the female passenger and the child. Presumably the passenger was the child's mother although that has not been confirmed by police.
Police were able to quickly track down Justin Golden and he was arrested. Golden is being charged with aggravated manslaughter and vehicular homicide. He has been booked into Duval County jail and is due in court on February 18th.
Our thoughts are with everyone who loved that baby.
