Gov Sule urges supporters to end 2027 campaigns, focus on governance

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has called on his supporters to refrain from distracting him with campaigns for the 2027 senatorial elections, emphasizing his commitment to fulfilling his current mandate for the people of the state.

The governor made this appeal on Friday in Lafia while hosting a delegation of traditional rulers and stakeholders from Akwanga Local Government Area.

He specifically urged those campaigning for his candidacy in the Nasarawa North senatorial district to stop their activities.

Governor Sule reiterated his focus on making the remaining two years of his administration impactful for the state.

“We are doing our best to deliver for the people of Nasarawa State. However, we cannot achieve this if we are distracted by campaigns,” he said. “If you see anyone campaigning for A.A. Sule as a senator, know that they are doing so on their own.”

The governor also advised elected officials from Nasarawa North to prioritize delivering on their mandates rather than engaging in premature campaign activities.

According to Sule, effective service delivery eliminates the need for prolonged campaigns, as a strong performance naturally secures the support of the people.
